Motivational Interviewing with Adolescents

Virtual Training for Health and Mental Health Care Providers

This training focuses on how to tailor Motivational Interviewing (MI) to young people. This training provides practitioners with the skills necessary to guide adolescents towards behavior change by understanding and responding to their perspectives, needs, and goals.

Through interactive exercises and case studies, participants will develop greater proficiency in applying MI techniques that are effective with adolescents. These skills will enable practitioners to build a collaborative and empathetic relationship with adolescents, help them to explore their ambivalence and concerns, and facilitate their movement towards positive change.
