Motivational interviewing (MI) is a communication approach to help people move away from indecision and lack of confidence towards motivation to make changes that will improve health and overall wellness. This interactive training will review the basics of the spirit and practice of MI and then focus on building more advanced skills. Participants are invited to bring one example of a health behavior change issue they encounter in their work for the discussion and practice part of the training.
